Architecture

This page examines AxAp's software architecture.

High Level

At a high level, AxAp is a set of local processes, providing mediated access to a variety of local and remote resources. So, for example, it can read local files, send text to a braille display, and interact with cloud resources such as web sites and services. For details, see the High Level page.

Back End

AxAp's "back end" is a set of local processes and supporting resources. Under control of the AxAp Server, it obtains, processes, and stores information. For details, see the Back End page.

Front End

AxAp's "front end" is a combination of command-line utilities and client-side web software. For details, see the Front End page.
