This web contains information about the Muddy Map Explorer (aka Muddy), which is currently being developed by the Muddy team.

The Muddy Map Explorer supports interactive, text-based exploration and navigation of geographic data (e.g., from OpenStreetMap). Its user interface is patterned after Multi-User Domain games (MUDs), using the same sort of concise, expressive navigation and exploration commands that they use. Just as MUD players learn about gaming domains, Muddy's users can explore (and build mental models of) neighborhoods, cities, and regions.
