I don't expect security to be a major issue for Ontiki
All of its initial data sets (eg, YAGO
) are public,
so there's no concern about their privacy.
However, there are a few remaining concerns which must be addressed.
Privacy of Inquiries
Users have a reasonable expectation that their inquiries will be private,
unless and until they are explicitly made public.
So, it should not be trivial for other users to invade this privacy.
User authentication and authorization are needed
in order to let Ontiki maintain accurate provenance information.
This can then be used to facilitate reputation tracking,
filtering of submissions, etc.
